We are seeking a Laboratory Technician for our busy Milk factory in Raleigh. This is a permanent part time position, working Monday to Friday, 6 hours a day.  Some shift work may be required. Our Laboratory Technicians are responsible for testing samples and reporting results throughout production to ensure specifications are met for all our manufacturing processes. Laboratory Technician

Exciting and Challenging Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analyses of raw and finished products
  • Ensure accurate test results and reporting in a timely manner for effective product release
  • Prepare chemicals required with operation of machine
  • Maintain, calibrate and trouble shoot laboratory equipment
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reporting
  • Laboratory waste control, washing up, cleaning of laboratory and equipment
  • Monitor weekly stocktake of laboratory consumables and order as required
  • Liaise with multiple departments to help drive a quality culture across the site

Skills and experience required to succeed in this role: 

  • Formal Qualification – Science, Food Tech or Laboratory Degree/Diploma/Certificate
  • Working experience in Lab environment (at least 2 years)
